Improve Productivity with Peartree's ORCHARD Solutions

Utilizing a user-friendly, Web-based interface can improve productivity and responsiveness. Our clients report that users of Peartree's Web-based solution prefer it greatly over legacy text interfaces.

Peartree's ORCHARD solutions utilize an advanced Web-based development tool called DesignBAIS. Peartree can create and deploy specific business solutions which fully integrate with your current system and use your existing IBM Unidata database. ORCHARD developed solutions do not replace the current MMS software, but provide a browser Web-based presentation, making use of the functionality of Web-based tools. Of course, Peartree continues to fully support both UNIX and Windows operating systems.

The above example is an ORCHARD developed solution for Marwood Metal Fabrication. This JIT Shipment Planning routine allows buyers to determine what purchased material is required, what is on order and allows them to firm up dates and quantities.

We developed a JIT Releasing screen and reports for Marwood using the Web-based tool DesignBais and HARVEST for the reports. Marwood uses these tools to schedule delivery of purchased material using JIT principles. Bill Spanjers, Materials Manager at Marwood Metal Fabrication, is very pleased with this solution. Not only does the staff like using the Web-based solution, Bill mentioned that with the use of this tool he has been able to reduce his in-house raw steel inventory by 40% in the first 4 months of use.

With the functionality of Peartree's HARVEST Reports software, our solutions can generate any type of report in numerous formats. Some HARVEST solutions developed to date include:

Discrete & Blanket PO printing, faxing and e-mailing
B.O.L., Packing Slips & Invoice printing, faxing and e-mailing
Credit Hold processing, faxing and e-mailing
Supplier Forecast printing, faxing and e-mailing
VMR (Vendor Material Release) printing, faxing and e-mailing

Steve Noble of Normark Manufacturing had this to say about his company's experience with HARVEST solutions:

"Like many companies, Normark Mfg. used multicopy forms printed on dot matrix printers for invoicing and purchase orders. With the installation of Peartree Software's HARVEST Reports software we can now use our existing laser printer infrastructure to print invoices, purchase orders, and reports on regular paper.

"Due to the large amount of printing we needed, additional laser printers were still required, but the savings of not needing expensive pre-printed forms resulted in an annual cost save for Normark.
